Before the audience takes their seats, there are hours spent inside dark theaters and rehearsal rooms.

Lines repeated. Notes given. Scenes pulled apart and put back together again. The same moment tried one more time—not because it was wrong, but because it could be better. This is the part most people never see. The work before the applause. The quiet focus. The awkward attempts, the breakthroughs, and the trust it takes to create something alongside other people. For three weeks, students at the UNCSA Summer Drama Intensive stepped into the work.And somewhere between the rehearsals, the long days, and the constant willingness to try again, something began to take shape.
